Biography - Michael Ireland

Michael's musical talent first revealed itself at the age of 11 when he joined the Downton Brass Band and learnt to play the cornet.

His real passion was for the electric guitar however which resulted in the forming of a group called the Aces with 3 friends and performing weekly at the local youth club in his teens.

Michael was then asked to join a freshly formed group called "Brian Moon and the Satellites" playing at dance halls and clubs in the south of England during the early sixties. Having disbanded for many years a reunion was arranged in 1994 resulting in a permanent reforming of The Satellites

To satisfy his own musical preferences Michael developed his solo act which sees him playing lead guitar along to some great backing tracks and providing entertainment at many venues around the Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset areas
